9/11 World Trade Memorial Center Flag Tours Offices at FEMA

FEMA is proud to salute this American Flag, which the New York City Police Department flew over the World Trade Center memorial site during the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

The flag was presented to DHS and is now on tour to each of the Department’s components – in addition to FEMA HQ, it will also visit our Region 2 and 3 offices.

This flag serves as a reminder of the significant sacrifices made by the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives, and the 6,000 who suffered injuries.

We also honor the members of our FEMA family who helped our nation during that difficult time. You can read some of their stories on FEMA’s 9/11 20th anniversary page online.
