Azúcar Negra – Por Que Me Miras Así (Team Gusto Cubano 'TGC' – timba cubana cover, live @ Debrecen)
/// Team Gusto Cubano ‘TGC’ – salsa-timba live showband – Budapest, HUN ///
A döntően magyar származású, budapesti tagokból álló, salsa-timba tánc-zenét valóban élőben játszó zenekar, a latin – azon belül is, leginkább a kubai – zenékért rajongó, annak népszerűsítésére hívatott közösségből alakult, 2014-ben. A részben eltérő, és idővel, egyúttal elkerülhetetlenül is formáló motivációk tovább alakították a zenekar mára letisztult szakmai irányát, tagságát!
We are an enthusiastic live music band from Budapest, Hungary, who fulfilled with passion for representing latin musical culture. We play arrangements selected mostly for contemporary Cuban and some other latin dance music genres, with a live orchestra of 10 musicians (including hungarian and venezuelan professionals).

Respect to original performer and composer of this song: Leonel Limonta y Azúcar Negra
Azúcar Negra was formed in 1997 when Leonel Limonta, Haila Mompié and other musicians split off from Bamboleo. Limonta had written almost all of the material for Bamboleo’s brilliant second album, ‘Yo No Me Parezco A Nadie’ and Haila was one of the lead singers. Limonta continued to pour his songwriting talent into his new project. In 2001, after a number of world tours, they finally released their first studio album, ‘Andar Andando’, while their second album, ‘Sin Mirar Atrás’ was released in early 2004. All of Azúcar Negra’s material is written by Limonta, who also wrote four huge hits for Charanga Habanera and two for Issac Delgado. Juan Carlos González said of Limonta – “He’s not a trained musician, but every song he brought in had some kind of special magic and became a huge hit”. Various band-members have contributed arrangements, such as Adalberto Domínguez, who is also once of Timba’s top bassists, a great pianist, and an absolute wonder to watch on stage.Azúcar Negra is an extremely well-rehearsed band whose live show is full of interesting medleys and segues, they’re packed with great musicians that we count them among the upper echelon of Timba bands.
