Stage 4 provides the first major challenge for the general classification contenders, with a 126.7km-long stage between Troyes and Bar-sur-Aube, featuring 12.9km of gravel roads spread across four different sectors. These aren’t quite like the iconic white roads of Strade Bianche, but pose a big challenge for the peloton when combined with the unrelenting succession of climbs in the final 60km.
