Cultural tour “Summer Music Camp”
In summer 2019 Global Russia Destination Management Company and Professional Conference Organizer hosted Summer Music Camp for the Hong Kong Youth Orchestra – a group of 70 students and parents who wished to explore the musical culture of Russia.
The cornerstone of the trip was a five-day music training program at the cottage base in the suburbs of Saint Petersburg. The students had a chance to take part in group rehearsals and individual music lessons led by professional conductors and music teachers of different specializations while enjoying the serene atmosphere of Russian nature at the campsite.
The students also had an exclusive opportunity to perform for local audience both at the cottage base and in the heart of Saint Petersburg – Peter and Paul Fortress. Both public performances were a great success and attracted a large number of visitors, which was a huge inspiration for the students.
Moreover, the students and their parents enjoyed a cultural sightseeing trip around two most famous cities of Russia – Saint Petersburg and Moscow – including such highlights as the Hermitage Museum and Peterhof in Saint Petersburg as well as Kremlin and Glinka Music Museum in Moscow.
